D-G Pledges Collaboration with CBG

 

 

Mr. John Boadu, the Ag. Director-General of the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA) has pledged and reaffirmed SIGA’s commitment to assist Consolidated Bank Ghana Ltd (CBG) to maximize profit and efficiency in its operations.

Mr. Boadu made this statement during a working visit to the CBG at its Head Office in Accra.

Mr. Boadu lauded the bank’s stellar performance and compliance record, urging them to continue their positive efforts and emphasized SIGA’s readiness to collaborate closely to showcase the bank’s impactful endeavors as a prominent indigenous financial institution.

“CBG has showcased commendable compliance and a consistent track record of positive returns. SIGA is committed to our collaboration with you to maximize your profits and operational efficiency,” stated the Director-General. He further encouraged CBG to share its success story with the Ghanaian public to underscore its substantial contributions to the country.

The Managing Director and CEO of CBG, Mr. Daniel Wilson Addo warmly welcomed the Director-General, extending congratulations and best wishes for success in his new role. Expressing gratitude for the longstanding positive relationship between SIGA and CBG, Mr. Addo emphasized the crucial role the bank plays in upholding compliance with regulatory standards.

Highlighting their dedication to making a substantial impact, he spotlighted their focus on agriculture and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SME) business financing.

“In Q1 2024, we are poised to showcase our impact in Ghana,” shedding light on the support provided to about 6000 businesses. He also disclosed strategic collaborations, including a partnership with Vodafone for micro-loan disbursement, reinforcing the bank’s commitment to empower local businesses.

Mr. Addo further stated that the bank has deployed more branches across the country in towns such as Hohoe, Nkawkaw, Berekum, Navrongo, and other major locations to ensure wider accessibility and convenience to clients.

Mr. Stephen Asiedu, Ag. General Manager Operations, Madam Alexandra Totoe, Ag. General Manager, Finance & Administration, SIGA Divisional Heads and management staff joined the Director-General on the visit.
