“Digitalisation KPIs to be Introduced into Performance Contracts” – Director-General
The Director-General of the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA) Amb. Edward Boateng has announced plans of his Authority to introduce digitalisation KPIs into the Annual Performance Contract for Specified Entities.
He said it is imperative public sector executives adopt the use of digital solutions to ensure business continuity and efficiency by cutting down on the duplication of roles in the public sector.
“SIGA in partnership with NITA is driving this agenda and urging all Specified Entities to come on board with us on this journey. In this regard, we will introduce digitalisation KPIs into the Annual Performance Contract and ensures that it carries significant weight.”
Amb. Edward Boateng made this known during a two-day of the Technology Breakfast Meeting with Public Sector Executives which came off on Tuesday, November 1st at the Alisa Hotel at Ridge in Accra.
The programme was organized by the National Information Technology Agency (NITA) in collaboration with SIGA and the office of the Head of Civil Service under the theme: “Government Digitalisation Agenda: The role of the Public Sector”.
Director-General of NITA Richard Okyere, delivered the welcome address highlighting various initiatives his agency has undertaken to actualize the Government of Ghana’s digitalization agenda. He charged public sector executives to leverage the government’s digitalization drive to ensure productivity in their respective sectors.
Speakers included the Head of the Office of Civil Service, Nana Kwasi Agyekum Dwamena; and the Minister for Communications and Digitalisation (MoCD), Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful (MP) who was the special guest of honour.
