DIRECTOR-GENERAL JOINS THE PRESIDENT ON ASHANTI REGIONAL TOUR
The Director-General of the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA), Amb. Edward Boateng joined the President of the Republic of Ghana and other government officials on four-day working tour of the Ashanti Region.
The President and his entourage commenced the tour with a congregational service at the St. Cyprian Anglican Church in Subin Constituency. As custom demands, the first gentleman of Ghana proceeded to pay a courtesy call on the Asantehene and the Asantehemaa at the Manhyia Palace.
The tour was to enable the President inspect and commission various developmental projects scattered across the Region, key amongst them was the sod cutting ceremony for the commencement of construction of a 4-tier interchange at Suame, in fulfillment of a pledge he made during his tour of the Ashanti Region last year.
“The Suame Interchange will be the first 4-tier interchange in the Ashanti Region, and the second in Ghana, after the Pokuase Interchange which I commissioned on 9th July 2021.” The president said.
The tour ended on Wednesday, 19th October, with the President and his delegation attending the final passage rites of Nana Nyarko Aboraa II, Manso Nkwantahemaa.
