Ghana Post Launches Scuttle Box Service
Ghana Post Company Ltd has launched a scuttle box service for efficient postal and courier service delivery.
The scuttle box is a repository with state-of-the-art security features to be fixed on walls of households and establishments and linked to a digital address system for the delivery of parcels. Clients will also receive notification to open their scuttles on delivery of items.
The General Manager (Operations) of the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA), Madam Hollistar Duah-Yentumi was amongst a tall list of guests who graced the occasion.
Mr. Bice Osei Kufuor, Managing Director of Ghana Post in his welcome address emphasized the commitment of his outfit to devise home-grown solutions in addressing complications in Ghana’s postal and courier services sector.
He said: “The innovation is a clear demonstration of Ghana Post’s determination to serve the people with the very best of convenient postal and courier services. What is even more refreshing and instructive is that the scuttle box is yet another Ghanaian innovation engineered and driven by a strategic partnership between two indigenous companies.”
Minister of Public Enterprises, Hon. Joseph Cudjoe who was the chairman for the occasion, lauded the leadership of Ghana Post for their dynamism and enthusiasm towards turning around the fortunes of the company with innovative mail management solutions.
Other speakers were Mr. Godfred Yeboah Dame, Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Hon. Osei Bonsu Amoah, Deputy Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Hon. Ama Pomaa Boateng, Deputy Minister for Communications and Digitalisation, and COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, Executive Director of EOCO.
The event was climaxed with an unveiling of the Scuttle Parcel Box, and a demonstration of its key security features and usage. The Scuttle Parcel Box is a partnership between Ghana Post and Collins Tee Investments, a Ghanaian-owned private sector company.
