The Ghana Supply Company Limited (GSCL) formerly known as Ghana Supply Commission was originally established in 1960 as a centralized procurement agency for the Government of Ghana. It was the main national buyer for all Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) as well as State Owned Enterprises (SOEs).Over the years, however, the operations of the company have undergone tremendous changes following amendments in the procurement laws and regulations which impact on the company. In 1999 the company was incorporated under Ghana’s Company Code (1963) as a private limited liability company wholly owned by the Government of Ghana.
