The fora, which were sponsored by Agence Française de Développement (AFD), comes after a two-week long staff engagement survey on Human Resource. As part of activities, management and employees were given an in-depth analysis of the survey’s findings. Additionally, brainstorming sessions and group presentations were conducted for team-building.
HR consultant Jens Debus, who was in charge of the exercise, commended SIGA’s management and employees for their enthusiastic participation in both the survey and the workshop. He said: “I am pleased to inform you that after nearly 2 weeks of running the SIGA employee engagement survey we have had quite an impressive response rate. This is already a good achievement, and I would like to thank all of you who have taken already the time to complete the anonymous online survey.”
The HR employee fora were embarked on to improve knowledge and understanding about employee’s current interests and attitudes; identify strengths and weaknesses in the organisation’s relationship with employees; develop leadership competence of superiors; and to demonstrate to employees their importance to the success of the organisation.
