INVESTMENT & DIVESTMENT
Responsible for designing optimal of developmental strategies including the provision of technical support and inputs, and ensuring compliance to legal and regulatory legislations to maximize the financial returns of state interest entities
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and reviewing of the performance of financial, economic and operational activities of the specified entities and making appropriate recommendations on investment decisions for the consideration of relevant bodies
- Working with state interest entities to evaluate new transactions, with a strong focus on credit and asset quality (including processing mandates, due diligence, risk assessment, negotiating term sheets and other documentation, syndication, etc.) to ensure value-for-money
- Providing input and comments on project, policy and other documents related to respective sector operations and development across a range of key themes and sectors
- Maintaining close relationships with state entities and providing meaningful input and challenge into the prioritization of business investments.
- Delivering transformative solutions to support mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, investment and financing structures, disposition alternatives and post-transaction activities
- Providing support for the valuation of assets of state interest entities for divestment/ disposal in conformity with legal and legislative requirements
- Collation of relevant data on the activities of the state interest entities to enhance analysis for solvency, profitability and liquidity to inform decision on investment and divestment
- Preparation of quarterly and annual forecasts and reviews of domestic investment activity of the various state interest entities
