TDC Presents at the State of the Agencies Report
The TDC Development Company Limited (TDCL) on Sunday, 15th January took its turn on the State of the Agencies Report, a press engagement platform coordinated by SIGA in collaboration with the Ministry of Information.
Managing Director of TDCL, Madam Alice Abena Ofori-Atta, expressed her outfit’s commitment towards establishing and managing sustainable urban settlements to meet the evolving needs of Ghanaians, especially middle-and lower-income earners.
TDCL’s Manager of Corporate Planning, Mr. Akwasi Boachie, in a presentation, took the audience through the various projects the company has embarked on over the past few years. Highlights of these projects include a recently completed gated-community at Community 26 in Kpone, and a 204-housing unit at Tema Community 22 under the National Homeownership Fund.
The Director-General of SIGA Ambassador Edward Boateng who was at the event to lend his support acknowledged the leadership of TDCL for their remarkable work in addressing the existing housing deficit confronting the country. He also lauded the management for the various innovative measures they have implemented over the years, which has seen an exponential increase in the company’s financial turnovers.
He said: “It is very good that the general public get to know some of these success stories, and that is why SIGA and the Ministry of Information have partnered to make sure that state agencies can come forward to share some of these impressive statistics.”
TDCL were adjudged the “State-Owned Enterprise of the Year” and the “Overall Specified Entity of the Year” at the inaugural Public Enterprises League Table (PELT) Awards.
