Telecel CEO Meets SIGA D-G to Cement Partnership

 

 

The Group CEO of Telecel, Mr. Moh Damush pays a courtesy call on the Director-General of SIGA, Mr. John Boadu.

The visit to consolidate partnership with SIGA follows Telecel’s recent rebranding from Vodafone Ghana.

The Director-General of SIGA, welcomed the Telecel representatives, stressing the significance of upholding open communication and partnership between the two organizations. He remarked, “This visit highlights Telecel’s proactive involvement in nurturing robust relationships within Ghana’s telecommunications sector.”

Mr. Moh Damush who led the Telecel delegation, expressed his outfit’s commitment to bringing disruptive innovation to Ghana’s telecom sector. He emphasized a strategic focus on customer-centric products and exceptional service delivery to foster lasting confidence in the network.

Telecel Group, renowned for its strategic focus on Africa and its expertise spanning telecommunications, fintech, e-commerce, and tech start-ups, solidified its position in the Ghanaian market through the acquisition of a commanding 70% majority stake in Vodafone Ghana (Ghana Telecommunications Company Limited – GTCL) in February 2023. It is noteworthy that the government of Ghana retains a significant 30% shareholding in GTCL, thus reflecting Telecel’s alignment with the nation’s broader telecommunications objectives.
