Veep Commissions New Bost Head Office
The vice president H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, on Wednesday March 15, 2023 officially commissioned a new office complex for Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Ltd (BOST).
Mr. Edwin Provencal, the managing director of BOST, board members, government officials, and employees of the company were some of the people who witnessed the commissioning.
In his remarks, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia emphasized the crucial role BOST plays in the economy, particularly in the expansion of the petroleum sector. Additionally, he acknowledged BOST as a State-Owned Enterprise that has successfully turned around its financial fortunes from debt to one of profitability.
The Board Chairman for BOST, Mr. Ekow Hackman stated that the company’s years-long practice of relocating its management functions from one office facility to another had come to an end with the construction of the new office complex. He added that this new development will provide management and staff with optimal conditions to carry out their daily tasks and will contribute to the overall development of the business, which is now posting profits.
The event climaxed with a sod-cutting ceremony and a tour of the office complex.
The new corporate headquarters is a seven-storey twin-block equipped with a number of amenities, including conference rooms, offices, kitchenettes, a cafeteria, restrooms, and a 100-capacity underground parking garage.
