
VRA CORPORATE AFFAIRS TEAM PAY COURTESY CALL ON SIGA
A delegation from the Corporate Affairs and External Relation of the Volta River Authority (VRA) has paid a courtesy call on the Corporate Affairs Division of SIGA.
The delegation led by the Mrs. Tandy Chothia, Manager for Corporate Affairs and External Relations was to forge a strong working relationship with SIGA while familiarizing themselves with the authority’s expectations of them.
The meeting held on Tuesday, 25th July, 2023 commenced with introduction from both sides. Mr. Stephen Asiedu, SIGA’s Head of Corporate Affairs, extended a heartfelt welcome to the VRA delegation and commended them for this initiative of visiting SIGA. He provided an overview of SIGA in his introductory remarks, emphasizing its critical role in overseeing Specified Entities and ensuring they are profitable and efficient in their operations.
Mr. Asiedu underscored the significance of projecting a positive image for Specified Entities and urged VRA to adopt a structured approach towards disseminating information to the public, through effective media engagements and interviews. He emphasized the responsibility of the VRA Corporate Affairs team in ensuring accurate and transparent communication which is important for their reputation.
“As the Corporate Affairs team, SIGA expects you to maintain open channels of communication with the public, projecting the values and aspirations of your organization effectively and telling your story yourself.” SIGA is ready to assist you to achieve your aims.
Mrs. Tandy Chothia, In response, expressed her gratitude for the warm reception and also provided an overview of VRA’s Corporate Affairs and their dedication to excellence. “At VRA, we take great pride in our commitment to innovation, sustainable practices, and social responsibility,” Mrs. Chothia added. “Our Corporate Affairs team works tirelessly to ensure that our stakeholders are well-informed about our initiatives and contributions to society.”
Team members from both sides shared their respective roles and functions, leading to a dynamic exchange of ideas. Discussions were also held on measures to coordinate efforts in the discharge of duties.
This courtesy visit marks a significant step towards strengthening the relationship between SIGA and VRA. Other officials from VRA present were Mr. Lawrence Quartey, Senior Publicity Officer (External Communications), Ms. Jemima Aniagyei, Publicity Officer (External Communications), Mr. Dennis Aggrey-Ampiah Jnr; Publicity Officer (External Communications), Mr. Eric Paatey; Principal Webmaster and Mrs. Gifty Anokye Frimpong, Admin. Officer. The SIGA team was represented by Ms. Louisa Aubin; Manager PR & External Relations, Mrs. Afua Frempong; Manager Corporate Support Services and the entire SIGA corporate affairs team.
