On 24th March 2025, the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA) organized a capacity-building workshop aimed at enhancing the performance management competencies of its management team. The session, facilitated by the Gamey & Gamey Group, formed part of SIGA’s broader commitment to strengthening internal capabilities and fostering a high-performance culture across the organization.
The workshop, held under the theme “The Application of Performance Management System (PMS) in Building the Ghana We Want,” was specifically designed to deepen participants’ understanding of modern Performance Management Systems (PMS) and their role in driving accountability, innovation, and sustainable institutional growth. The training provided practical insights into how effective performance management frameworks can support improved service delivery and help realize SIGA’s strategic mandate.
Addressing participants during the opening session, the Director-General of SIGA, Professor Michael Kpessa-Whyte, underscored the importance of continuous professional development in ensuring operational excellence. He noted that equipping managers with the tools and knowledge required to implement and oversee effective performance management systems is essential to achieving both organizational success and national development outcomes.
The capacity-building session is part of an ongoing series of professional development initiatives designed to align SIGA’s internal operations with best practices in corporate governance and performance oversight. By investing in its human capital, SIGA aims to lead by example in promoting a results-oriented culture within the public sector.
