Training Resumes for Specified Entities on SIGA Entities Portal

The State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA) has officially resumed training for Specified Entities (SEs) on the SIGA Entities Portal (SEP), marking a critical step forward in the digitization of public sector performance monitoring and oversight.

Opening the session, SIGA’s Head of IT, Mr. George Ofori, emphasized the SEP’s role in promoting transparency and accountability by replacing paper-based reporting with a more efficient digital system. He noted that the platform empowers SEs to submit timely and accurate data, enabling SIGA to better fulfill its oversight mandate and align operations with national development priorities.

The SEP is a centralized digital platform designed to streamline data capture, enhance governance oversight, and in the long-term facilitate real-time performance tracking across Specified Entities. Its development aligns with the Public Financial Management Regulations, 2016 (LI 2378), which mandates that all Specified Entities integrate their financial management systems with that of the central oversight body.

Phase One of the project was launched in December 2024, encompassing the development of the Portal, initial training sessions, and pilot data capturing. Selected SIGA staff and representatives from eight pilot Specified Entities successfully completed this initial phase. The ongoing month-long training, running from 16th April to 22nd May 2025, is being conducted in sector-based batches to facilitate the full rollout across all Specified Entities.
