SIGA with p4msd programme director

The Director-General of the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA), Prof. Michael Kpessa Whyte, recently welcomed Mr. Wisdom K. Messan, the newly appointed Programme Director of the Public Financial Management for Service Delivery (PFM4SD), and his team during a courtesy call to SIGA’s head office.

The visit marked a significant step toward ensuring a smooth transition following the departure of the former Programme Director, Dr. Mohammed-Sani Abdulai, who played a key role in deepening collaboration between SIGA and the PFM4SD Programme. Prof. Kpessa Whyte expressed his appreciation for Dr. Abdulai’s contributions and extended a warm welcome to Mr. Messan, affirming SIGA’s commitment to sustaining and strengthening the partnership.

Discussions during the visit focused on ongoing joint initiatives, including public financial management reforms and capacity building. Prof. Kpessa Whyte underscored the importance of continuity in these efforts, particularly as SIGA continues to drive performance improvement and accountability across Specified Entities.

Mr. Messan, for his part, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and commended SIGA’s leadership in advancing governance and oversight within the public sector. He reaffirmed the Programme’s commitment to supporting SIGA’s mandate and pledged to build on the solid foundation laid by his predecessor. The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to deepening collaboration and delivering on shared objectives aimed at enhancing transparency, efficiency, and service delivery across Ghana’s public institutions.
