Telecel Ghana CEO Pays Courtesy Call on SIGA Director-General

The Chief Executive Officer of Telecel Ghana, Mrs. Patricia Obo-Nai, has paid a courtesy call on the Acting Director-General of the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA), Prof. Michael Kpessa-Whyte, at SIGA’s head office in Accra.

The visit was aimed at strengthening the collaborative relationship between Telecel Ghana and SIGA, and to explore areas of mutual interest, particularly in the digital transformation of public enterprises and improving service delivery.

In her remarks, Mrs. Obo-Nai commended SIGA for its pivotal role in enhancing the performance and governance of Specified Entities (SEs). She noted that Telecel Ghana is committed to supporting public sector institutions in leveraging technology to improve efficiency and innovation.

“Telecel Ghana is keen on deepening our engagement with SIGA to support the digitisation agenda of public enterprises and help bridge the digital divide in service delivery. We believe there are many areas where we can offer our expertise and partnership,” she said.

Prof. Michael Kpessa-Whyte welcomed the CEO and expressed appreciation for the visit. He emphasized SIGA’s commitment to fostering strategic partnerships that promote transparency, innovation, and value creation across State Entities.

“We are pleased to engage with Telecel Ghana, a key player in Ghana’s telecom and digital ecosystem. This visit underscores the importance of public-private collaboration in driving efficiency and impact within our State-Owned Enterprises,” Prof. Kpessa-Whyte stated.

The meeting also discussed opportunities for capacity building, knowledge sharing, and the potential integration of digital solutions in monitoring and evaluating the performance of State Entities.

Also present at the meeting were senior management members from both Telecel Ghana and SIGA.
