The Acting General Manager of Operations at the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA), Madam Millicent Atuguba, has encouraged the sales team of SIC Life Insurance Ltd. to adopt a growth-oriented mindset as an essential tool for personal and professional advancement.
She delivered this charge at the opening ceremony of SIC Life’s 2025 Sales Retreat, a two-day event held at the AVI Event Centre, Airport Residential Area, Accra, from 10th to 11th June 2025.
Mad. Atuguba, who was representing the Acting Director-General of SIGA, Prof. Michael Kpessa-Whyte, described the retreat’s theme, “Mindset Revolution and the Way Forward,” as timely and relevant, especially within the context of the rapidly evolving business environment. She urged participants to view the mindset shift not as a singular event but as a lifelong commitment to growth, resilience, and transformation.
“You are not just selling policies, you are selling security, peace of mind, and a promise of tomorrow. And that requires more than skill; it requires resilience, vision, and above all, the right mindset,” she said.
She also reiterated SIGA’s mandate to guide Specified Entities such as SIC Life towards operational excellence and good governance, assuring the leadership of SIGA’s continued collaboration in the company’s transformation journey.
Acting Managing Director of SIC Life, Insurance Ltd, Ing. Solomon Twum Barima, expressed appreciation for the Authority’s consistent support. “We are glad to have SIGA here with us. Your support has always been key in helping us drive growth and transformation, and we are grateful for the partnership,” he remarked.
The 2025 Sales Retreat forms part of SIC Life’s broader Transformation and Resetting Agenda, designed to retool, reposition, and empower the sales team to excel in an increasingly competitive insurance industry.
Madam Atuguba was accompanied by Mr. Samuel Obeng Ankomah, Manager, Performance Management and Evaluation (PME) Division.
